Federal and State laws require that every state provide employers with one centralized location for processing of income withholding for child support orders. To meet these requirements the State of Illinois created the State Disbursement Unit (SDU). Since 10/1/99 all wage deductions have been processed by SDU.

If you need a copy of your payment history you may come to the Circuit Clerk’s Office. The payment history may not be faxed.
Only parties of the case may receive copies of the child support account for security reasons. However, if one of the parties need someone else to pick up the payment history, they may sign a statement giving that person permission to do so.
The $36.00 annual support service fee is assessed by Illinois State Law on all child support cases. This fee must still be paid to the Circuit Clerk’s Office. Payment of your $36 annual support service fee should be made with cash, cashier’s check, certified checks, or money order to the Edwards County Circuit Clerk. Be sure to include your case number and support service fee and mail to:
